Q. My current partner is Australian and a resident of Melbourne. I have already registered my marriage in Korea. I plan to hold a wedding in Australia again. I would also like to know the visa information for that. A. Thank you for your inquiry. In Australia, to have a Legal Marriage Ceremony, you submit the NOIM (Notice of Intended Marriage) form to the officiant, and you can have the ceremony one month later. However, according to Australian marriage law, if the couple has already married elsewhere in Korea, they cannot register BDM in Australia after the legal marriage. Also, divorce documents and death certificates are required for divorce or widowed parties. Also, in Australia, NOIM is usually filled out 6 to 12 months in advance to invite partners, and our certified wedding officiants provide an Evidence of Notice Letter. You can contact the details by email or phone call at the contact number below.

Q n A Wedding in Australia updated!! Office/Garden Ceremony

Thanks to your support, we have already set an example in Melbourne for local business, such as beauty salons, barbershops, car repairs, and cargo services. Moving transportation, distribution and wholesale, Korean restaurants, cafes, Korean food stores, health foods, media. Magazine companies, lawyers, cleaning services, tiles. Floor sanding, travel agencies, construction, immigration lawyers, Australian federal agencies, hospitals, nursing homes, Australian businesses, church members and ministers quietly serving Australian churches, study abroad business owners and employees, and following the example of my officiant business, I have also been accepted as a member of the local Australian Wedding Officiant Association.
From now on, a simple wedding document ceremony can be done at the Huntingdale office or
Garden ceremonies can now be held at the Chadstone office.

To help the deceased and their families who have no religious affiliation hold proper funerals, I also received Australian-style Eulogy training and registered as a member of the Australian Association of Funeral Directors.

Answer. First, let me share some good news. The traditional wedding document ceremony simplifies the mandatory wedding application submission process: the Australian Federal Department of Justice will meet via Zoom on December 21, 2021, and submit the marriage application until December 31, 2022. In other words, existing couples no longer need to fill out the NOIM and visit the police, celebrant, GP, or JP to get an identity verification sign. In other words, if you fill out the NOIM and have a Zoom appointment at your convenience, with the officiant signing the NOIM application, the NOIM application will be registered, and the couple will have the ceremony on the day they want a month later. Please be sure to bring your passport to the interview. Also, two witnesses are required for the ceremony, and their status does not need to be permanent residency or citizenship; they only need to be close to the couple.

Q.  Can I apply for a wedding in Korea before returning to Australia? My partner is currently in the LOCKDOWN period last April.

I plan to return to Korea during this period, and once the Australian government approves it, I will enter the country, hold a formal marriage ceremony, and submit the documents to the Australian immigration office. I would appreciate any advice.

Answer. There are several ways to do this.

First, even if you return to Australia (after 2 weeks of quarantine and one month after submitting the wedding ceremony application NOIM), the total is 6.5 weeks.

To avoid the frustration of having to wait for an ideal outcome, I recommend that your advice be signed and certified by NOIM,

You can scan your and your partner's passports and submit them to me by email.

And among my Australian clients, if you want to apply for a visa for your partner from abroad, you should go to the Australian embassy and stand in front of the Australian staff.

After signing the notarized part and completing the NOIM documents, they applied at the Visa Office. In that case, Celebrant

We will issue the necessary supporting documents for your qualification.

Also, if both of you are in Korea, please go to the Australian Embassy, get the staff's signature, and then submit the wedding ceremony application form NOIM and

You can submit it by scanning both passports together and sending them by email. Under Australian law, the wedding ceremony can be held one month after receiving the NOIM, and it is valid for 18 months.

Also, you can meet via Zoom and submit the wedding application, which is available until December 31, 2022. First, fill out the NOIM and then interview each couple via Zoom appointment, and be sure to bring your passport.

Q&A: Can I get married at a nearby park? Our house is cramped, so we almost want a private ceremony with paperwork.

Answer. Anything is possible. There are good parks near the nearby Monash area or in the city. You can also hold a wedding at Marriage Registration in Chadstone, which may incur a small additional Booking Location/Permit fee. For more details or booking inquiries, please visit the newly renovated website http://calebthecelebrant.com.au/.

Q&A I plan to hold a beach wedding in January or February next year. How many friends can I invite?

That's a good idea.

Answer. Starting at midnight on December 7th, you can participate with friends and relatives without limit. However, One Person 2 Square Metre

We recommend the Density Rule. If you plan to have a BBQ after the ceremony, the number is limited to 100 people.

This includes Miker Speaker/Signing Table + 2 chairs. Wedding Arbour (Decorated with Curtain and Flowers)

For expedited submission and screening of the Official Marriage Certificate (usually delivered 3-4 weeks after the ceremony), we recommend prepaying the ceremony fee in advance.

Q & A Things You Need to Know Before Getting Married in Australia Updated!! October 5 Current COVID19 Lockdown Stage 3

(For the next two weeks - The wedding ceremony is possible, but the bride, officiant, two witnesses, and family members from the same household will be confirmed,

I will update it)

Q. My partner is planning to disband early next year. How can I make sure the wedding day is celebrated?

A. If you have about 2-3 months left before the dismissal date, you can attach documents related to your doctor. Especially if you have immigration or a wish to return to Korea, depending on the case, we can help you extend your date. For this, there is a separate application fee and a documentation fee of about 150 dollars.

Q. I am applying for a graduation visa and want to include my partner as well. However, my partner's visa is

A little more than a month left. What should I do?

Answer: There are usually two ways to get the wedding: to have the wedding moved up, or to request an Official Marriage Certificate in BDM immediately after the wedding. As far as I know, the method of moving the wedding is not applicable to those whose visa is running out. For example, if you move to another country or state due to work, go through court proceedings, if your parents or relatives have a terminal medical condition, or if the wedding is religious or predetermined. Even if you ask for it to be done quickly after marriage, it usually takes a few weeks after the ceremony and costs around $100. For reference, you should know that how quickly the officiant applies after marriage depends on the situation.

Another method is to quickly watch the wedding viewing through a Civil Marriage Celebrant like me, and then hold the ceremony one month later. For me, the BDM Official Marriage Certificate will be delivered to your home within 2-3 weeks after the wedding. Therefore, my clients submit the Marriage Certificate I issue and the Letter for Evidence of Marriage Certificate submitted to the BDM on the wedding day together at USCIS, then submit the Official Marriage Certificate to USCIS again.

Q. I'm a student, but I'm trying to apply for a visa along with my boyfriend's graduation visa . But I know

An acquaintance said that all witnesses signing the marriage certificate and other documents at the wedding must have citizenship.

Is that correct?

Answer. Not all of their statements are wrong, but according to the Australian Wedding Officiant Manual, witnesses who sign documents at a wedding

It is unrelated to citizenship requirements or visas. However, it is clearly stated that these people must know the person well

This is the case. Also, there may be matters where you may need to stand in court as a witness , so regardless of visa status,

I think it might be better for permanent residents or long-term residents. Living in Australia, I know the neighbor and cousin of Australia well as a witness

When I became a citizen, I applied for Australian citizenship and my Australian passport. And now, for Korean customers,

Regardless of who you are inviting, Legal Only Wedding $399 (Simple Wedding $550), and you can invite 15 more people to the wedding.

It doesn't matter. And whether the number will be 50 from July 12 will be announced after the Victorian government announcement in early July.

We will provide it to you. Also, free government BDM Marriage Certificate (BDM Marriage Certificate) after the Winter Special Event wedding is now available.

We inform you that applications and delivery are being processed. Usually, delivery to your home takes 2-3 weeks. (Breaking News COVID19

Lockdown Refers to the period from midnight on Sunday, June 21 to midnight on July 12 (wind to wind)

Q. I am a church member, but he is not my boyfriend. However, we gather at church to worship and then

I want to be celebrated by cutting a wedding cake with friends—is there any other way? Please give me some advice.

Answer. First, congratulations. This is something that usually happens in multicultural communities like Australia. That's why a certified officiant like me

are receiving ongoing education to cope with these situations. Usually , when you get married in a church, you are baptized and registered at the church.

Only those people can participate. Therefore, what I recommend is usually holding Sunday worship services and briefly holding a 10-15 minute Legal

How about having an Only Wedding time? Currently, until June 30, the existing five grooms, bride, and officiant

In addition to 2 witnesses, 15 guests may attend or watch. For example, in such cases, some of our guests who have met our Indian partners have Indian religious ceremonies, go to a quiet room, and have a Legal-Only Wedding time.

Another example is the pastor's denomination and the Australian government's recognized Rites of Religious Marriage Ceremony officiant license.
Even if there is no such event, we can organize this program so that the wedding ceremony can be held at the church. Literature and Discussion Pastor Congratulations

Q. I have one question. What is a BDM Marriage Certificate? After the wedding, the Marriage Certificate
Isn't it something you can receive? And isn't it possible to submit this document to the immigration office?
First, there are three types of Marriage Certificates. Form 16 (BDM) is used by officiants when submitting BDM after marriage.
Form 15 (a certificate given by the officiant to the bride and groom after the ceremony on the day), and a BDM Certificate (an official document formally registered after the Birth Death Marriage Office has confirmed all documents). Typically, Australian wedding officiants submit Form 16 and other related documents to BDM within two weeks after the ceremony.
That's how it is. Usually, BDM can take about a month after receiving the documents. And the bride and groom
Each applicant must apply individually, and the application fee and Express Post charge are separate. At The Korean Celebrant,
During the COVID19 period, we offer customers free application fees, Express Post, and Handling Charge as part of the event. Usually, we apply online within 1-2 days after the wedding so you can receive your order quickly. Usually, it is shipped to your home within 4 weeks, or as early as 2-3 weeks.

Q. Currently, while LOCKDOWN and Social Distancing are strictly enforced, I am applying for a cohabiting visa with the immigration department.
I need to hold a wedding ceremony for that—is that possible?

Answer. Yes, it is possible. After 0:00 on March 25, under the Australian government's Emergency Coriners 19 enforcement law, only a minimally formal wedding is allowed indoors, with five people involved, the bride, officiant, and two witnesses. And according to the government's policy, during this difficult period, there are two ways to get married.

Option 1. How to distancing an interview with a certified officiant like us: go to https://www.ag.gov.au/FamiliesAndMarriage/Marriage/Documents/New-notice-of-intended-marriage.pdf to download the wedding application documents, have the bride and groom fill them out, and contact me. Phone 0423 498 742 or email: calebthecelebrant@gmail.com. If everything is in order, go to the police station to get your signature, then send me scanning or Mobile Phone Screen Shots. After verification, we will accept the wedding application and have it officially approved for the wedding ++ in one month.

Option 2.  https://www.bdm.vic.gov.au/victorian-marriage-registry/book-your-wedding-ceremony go and fill out the documents online, then contact me. The rest of the procedure is as Option 1 above. (As of the end of March, I understand that the Victoria Government office is closed.)

Q. We are 3-4 hours away from Melbourne. There are many colleagues working here. Up to here
Can you come on a business trip? And do I need to go to Melbourne BDM to apply for a marriage proposal?

Answer: You don't have to. Visit https://calebthecelebrant.com.au/ for the marriage application and go to the Legal menu.
After you go and download the NOIM form, fill it out, take a photo of your passport, add it by email, and send it to me (please be sure to include your phone number).
Addition). If you are unsure about various matters during the paperwork, I can help you. I will visit before the business trip before the wedding. Business trip expenses for the wedding
It depends on the type, so we'll discuss that then. And as mentioned before, you don't need to go to BDM; after the wedding, we will submit the marriage registration documents to BDM on your behalf, and 2-4 weeks later, you can apply for a formal Marriage Certificate with BDM and receive it by mail.

Q. In Australia, do I have to get married only through a church, government Marriage Registry, or City Council?

Answer. That's a good question. In Australia, there are no restrictions on the space of a place. In Australia, weddings are held in churches or cathedrals.
It's infrequent, and many of my guests do it at home. You can do it in parks, on beaches, on boats, or even on airplanes. Except for Antarctica and a few other regions, it's possible.

Q. I am a single woman planning to get married. What happens to my Maiden Name (maiden name) after marriage?

Answer. That's a good question. After marriage, women will continue to have their sex or the ex-husband's surname after marriage. Usually after marriage
You must purchase a BDM-issued certificate of marriage with a bank or passport and driving licence.

Please visit https://www.bdm.vic.gov.au/changes-and-corrections/changing-your-name-after-marriage-separation-or-divorce to purchase it. I understand the cost is about $40, including postage. (Melbourne BDM, February 2020). In other words, the Marriage Certificate issued by BDM shows the maiden name before marriage if you are a woman, as well as your husband's surname, so if you are officially female, you can use this document to open a passport, driver license, or bank account using your husband's surname. Therefore, there is no need to apply for a name change.

Q. I want to register my marriage in Melbourne, Australia. Do I need to go to BDM?

A. In Australia, there are two ways to register a marriage.

The former involves booking and interviewing through BDM, then getting married 30+1 days later at the Old Treasury Building in Melbourne Marriage Registry, costing about  $450. The problem is, there are only two rooms there, and you have to arrange the ceremony within 30 minutes. (Usually, to book a room at a good time,
You need to do it 2-3 months in advance. If you don't have time, we can help you complete the BDM interview and marriage registration form through a proxy. The cost for that is about $150 separately.

The latter is done through a Marriage Celebrant like me, where they fill out a marriage registration form and do not conduct a BDM interview to satisfy their wishes.
If you have your wedding there and use our services, a simple wedding starts at $399. For more details, visit my web phase https://calebthecelebrant.com.au  and click Fees in the menu. This includes interviews, wedding registration forms, wedding preparations, marriage papers, BDM proxy marriage registration documents, and even proxy marriage registration documents.
