Jung Yoon-ho, a former KBS public recruitment comedian who runs the YouTube channel 'Yoon Ho-chi,' posted a video titled 'This is a clear betrayal! I guess I should move to the provinces below' on the 13th. As of the 15th, the video had garnered about 290,000 views and 1,150 comments, quickly spreading across various online communities. In the video, Jung said, "I saw an online post saying, 'Shin Ramyun made at Gumi Factory is delicious.' I looked at the comments wondering if such a thing existed, and they said it was true," adding, "The soup tastes spicier and tastier, the noodles are chewier, and many say it varies by factory." Mr. Jung obtained products from both the Anseong plant and the Gumi factory, and upon opening the packaging, he found that both products were manufactured in Dalseong County, Daegu. However, the powdered soup was labeled 'Anseong' for the Anseong plant and 'Gumi' for the Gumi factory product, respectively, To eliminate variables, he mixed 550ml of water into two pots of the same size and boiled them simultaneously according to the recipe written on the packaging. Jung placed the finished ramen side by side and tasted the Anseong factory broth first, saying, "The classic Shin Ramyun taste—spicy and that taste." On the other hand, after tasting the Gumi Factory product, he said, "It's really different. It's a bit oilier and has a richer flavor. There are differences between factories," he said, and regarding the noodles, he said, "The Gumi Factory product has a deeper flavor and is slightly chewier," adding, "Isn't this a betrayal? Gumi tastes better," he concluded. However, he added, " There may be people who say Anseong tastes better because people's tastes vary greatly," but added, "From my perspective, the taste is definitely different." Netizens also said, "I wondered if a big company would do that, but the visual difference is so obvious I can't help but believe it," "Even on screen, the gumi looks red and deeper," "I lived in Daegu and moved up to Seoul, but I thought Shin Ramyun had lost its flavor. It might be a factory difference," and "If the taste is different, it's a different product, so the packaging should be labeled as 'Anseong Shin Ramyun' or 'Gumi Shin Ramyun.'"
